Founded in 1961 by Donald Pyle, Great Hall Players (later known as Great Hall Theatre Company) performed at various venues in Norwich until November 2021 when we presented our final production at The Assembly House, celebrating the group’s Diamond Jubilee*.
Although it is no longer producing plays, Great Hall Theatre Company aims to continue to continue to contribute positively to amateur drama and the performing arts locally by supporting a range of projects and organisations financially. Our first grant, covering part of the cost of upgrading a local theatre company’s lighting system, was paid towards the end of 2025.
Further applications from groups are sought for contributions towards funding their activities. Details of the application process and relevant forms can be found here.
